Neighborhood

The Winters Building is not only one of Richmond’s last historic buildings, but also a cornerstone of a $200MM redevelopment project in the center of downtown Richmond, California.

Federal, State, and Local authorities have focused on the Iron TriangleNeighborhood for funding and consideration long deserved by this deeply neglected region.

The East Bay Center for the Performing Arts is flanked by major developments on all sides and an expanded Kaiser Permanente Hospital of Richmond.

With easy access to Highway 580, Richmond has planned 250 units of residential property to come on-line in 2010. Two blocks away from Amtrak and the Richmond Civic Center BART station, with buses to Marin, Berkeley, and San Francisco, the Iron Triangle Neighborhood is perfectly situated as a modern urban transit hub.

The Iron Triangle has been our personal neighborhood for the past twenty-five years. We are quite proud that it is getting such attention.

The East Bay Center anchors the intersection of MacDonald Avenue and 11th Street as a beautiful and versatile neighborhood arts center.

After a long wait, this vibrant community of 20,000 will have a place to gather and a facility in which to create and share their rich and varied stories.

The Center’s two new theaters will provide excellent accommodations for both Center programming and community events.

The Center plans to rotate performance and rehearsal throughout the year, incorporating both presentations and town-hall gathering efforts by the community.

The residential in-fill, transit opportunities, and wide, walk-able boulevard style streets make the Center’s neighborhood a natural location for civic expansion.

An arts complex at this brightly lit city center makes a truly perfect gem.
