This ensemble is dedicated to the distinctive cultural art form known as Son - They perform traditional music and dance from several regions of Mexico (including Haustecan, Potosina, Jalisco, and Vera Cruz, as well as poetic songs and lyric improvisations. Performer Ernesto Olmas brings Oaxacan Music & Dance, featuring many different instruments native to Oaxaca, Mexico, (including turtle shells with deer horns, maracas, drums and rattles used in Native Meso-American cultures such as Zapotec and Xtole cultures).
