Superhero Clubhouse

About the show: Perched on the roof of his doghouse, armed only with a typewriter and a rare imagination, a dog attempts to adapt after an unusual hurricane washed him out to sea. Inspired by Charles Shultz' iconic beagle and leading science surrounding extreme climatic events, Flying Ace and the Storm of the Century is a multi-disciplinary tour-de-force arousing hope in the face of climate change. Created by eco-theater artists of Superhero Clubhouse in conversation with climate scientists from Columbia University's Earth Institute and the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory. SUPERHERO CLUBHOUSE is a collective of artists and scientists working at the intersection of environmentalism and theater. We make original performances via a collaborative, green and rigorous process. Through the creation of new mythologies reflecting our changing world, we work to ignite environmental conversations among audiences and communities in the pursuit of revolutionary theater and ecological consciousness. Performance: 7:30-8:30PM Talkback: 8:30-8:45PM
