DESCRIPTION: 6:30pm performance by the East Bay Center for the Performing Arts Richmond Jazz Collective. 

The Oakland Symphony joins forces with the City of Richmond to present a free Independence Eve Celebration at the Craneway Pavilion, located inside the historic Ford Point Building on the waterfront in Richmond. This free event is fun for the whole family, with live music, food, an instrument petting zoo, and spectacular fireworks over the Bay! The centerpiece of the evening is a free concert by the Oakland Symphony conducted by Michael Morgan, featuring Sousa marches, music from the movies, sing-a-longs and more. The Craneway Pavilion, located on 25 waterfront acres, delivers spectacular views of the San Francisco skyline, with floor-to-ceiling windows throughout the entire event space as well as a large outside patio, perfect for viewing the City of Richmond’s fireworks display. Ample secure event parking available for $20. In the ten years since its inception, this event has become one of the Bay Area’s most popular and talked-about Independence Day celebrations.

Food and beverage concessions will be available throughout the event. No outside liquor will be permitted.

ADDRESS: The Craneway Pavilion is located at 1414 Harbour Way South in the Marina District of Richmond and can be accessed from the 580 freeway. Seating is limited and will be available on a first come, first served basis. Guests are encouraged to bring their own blankets and chairs.
