Soul Endeavor

Saturday, March 2, 2019
5pm & 6:30pm
East Bay Center for the Performing Arts
339 11th street, Richmond, CA 94801

This exciting event features two days of highly diverse, brief recitals from the talented and hard working music students at the Center. They will perform solo and in small ensembles. These students study and perform musical works that can range from bebop and jazz classics to piano compositions of the baroque, classical or romantic periods. As well as rare Mexican regional trio music with violin, jarana, and huapanguera.  You may even hear rock ballads and vocal Opera standards! It is an especially inspiring opportunity for children to see other youth across a spectrum of experience, and age levels, and perhaps find an instrument and style that calls to them.

This is a FREE event! NOTE FOR PARENTS OF STUDENTS: Pieces prepared for performance can range from less than a couple of minutes to longer format based on pedagogical requirements. You and students may ask the appropriate private teacher as to what types of performance to expect for each.

Saturday, March 2 will feature two sets of recitals at 5:00pm and 6:30pm.
