Decade of Fire Screening

October 26, 2019
6:00pm to 8:00pm
East Bay Center for the Performing Arts

On Saturday, October 26th from 5:30-8:30 pm at the East Bay Center for the Performing Arts, Richmond LAND in collaboration with members from ACCE, APEN, Rich City Rides, and Urban Tilth will be hosting a film screening of the documentary Decade of Fire followed by a panel discussion with the creators of the film and Richmond LAND's Building Power Fellows.

Communities across the United States face a growing crisis of displacement and homelessness. DECADE OF FIRE is partnering with grassroots organizations that are building tenant power and fighting for the right to live with dignity in our nation's cities. Each screening is followed by a dialogue highlighting local leadership and concrete ways people can become involved in housing justice and anti-displacement struggles where they live. Join Richmond LAND to learn about the development projects that the Building Power fellows are working on in Richmond and key policy initiatives that support local affordable housing preservation.

For more information on the film check out the website here or watch the trailer for a sneak peek. We look forward to seeing you on the 26th and as it's stated in the film: STAY. FIGHT. BUILD.
