Listening Circle for Students

Remote Event Over Zoom

We know that the past few months have been challenging; there is a lot to process as we struggle with what has been going on in the country. As we grieve with our Black community for the lives of Breonna Taylor, Tony McDade, Ahmaud Arbery, George Floyd, and so many more, we recognize that the work we do together for our community is more important than ever. If you haven’t already, please read our letter that was sent out to the greater community.

We also recognize that, with COVID-19 impacting our ability to come together as a community, it’s harder for our youth to feel like there is a safe place to talk and to discuss their own experiences.

We’d like to invite all East Bay Center Students to a listening circle and discussion, in order to hold space for your thoughts, feelings, questions and solutions. We recognize that classes have started for many of you, and feel that it’s important to come together as a community to talk about ways we can support one another.

Also, if you’d like to check in individually please let us know; there will be an option to go into breakout sessions as well.
