Remote Training & Instruction

What Does remote training and instruction look like at East Bay Center?
  • Our faculty have adjusted their curriculum to enable distance learning for our main site students, as well as our School and Neighborhood Partnership students.
  • The majority of our group classes have transitioned to Zoom, giving students and faculty the ability to interact with each other in real time.
  • A small number of classes are being taught through instructional videos that faculty have created, giving students the opportunity to learn on their own time.
  • Our private lessons continue remotely via Zoom. Students who did not already have instruments at home were able to borrow from the Center.

What is in store this summer at East Bay Center?

Group classes will continue remotely through the summer months. Diploma students are participating in a distance learning curriculum in place of the traditional five-week Summer Intensive. Current East Bay Center students are invited to extend their Center classes into the summer, free of cost. Center families can contact Kwesi: kwesi@eastbaycenter.org for more information.

Our 65 faculty and 24 staff are actively and creatively delivering remote activities and instruction for all our current 3,500 local school children and our 500 main site students. As we adapt materials and technology, we are providing content to the local school district population of 32,000 students and 1,300 teachers.
